Hilfiger’s guests included Shawn Mendes and Anthony Ramos in custom TOMMY HILFIGER.

WHAT: Tommy Hilfiger, which is owned by PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], announces that Tommy and Dee Hilfiger attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Benefit on May 2, 2022 in New York City to celebrate the opening of In America: An Anthology of Fashion – the second of a two-part presentation. The exhibition explores the foundations of American fashion through a series of sartorial displays featuring individual designers and dressmakers who worked in the United States from the 19th to the mid-late 20th century. The evening was co-chaired by Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Regina King, and Lin Manuel Miranda with Tom Ford, Adam Mosseri, and Anna Wintour as honorary chairs.

Tommy Hilfiger was joined by fashion designer and wife Dee Hilfiger, Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes, and Grammy-winning, Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated performer Anthony Ramos.

Bringing more sustainable design to the forefront, the looks worn by Mr. Hilfiger and his guests were made using materials pulled from various sources of unused or surplus fabrics, thus minimizing the environmental impact and waste compared to the production of custom textiles and trims. The materials were thoughtfully incorporated into each look through the use of TOMMY HILFIGER liability fabrics (left over from previous seasons) as well as vintage deadstock and repurposed fabrics. This further builds on TOMMY HILFIGER’s vision to be a brand that Wastes Nothing and Welcomes All by 2030.

“As a brand that is rooted in Americana, it is very meaningful to recognize and reflect on the incredible history that formed the basis of American fashion,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “The stories and heritage of the past go beyond creative inspiration for us – they inspire us to keep reinventing and evolving as a brand so we can always show up in purposeful and inspiring ways for our communities.”

Friends and followers of the TOMMY HILFIGER brand are invited to join the conversation using @TommyHilfiger and #TommyHilfiger on Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter.
